2013 · 89 min · Documentary, Music
Backup singers live in a world that lies just beyond the spotlight. Their voices bring harmony to the biggest bands in popular music, but we've had no idea who these singers are or what lives they lead, until now.
Directed by Morgan Neville. Starring Darlene Love, Lisa Fischer, Merry Clayton, Judith Hill and Claudia Lennear.
Lyradrift plots 20 Feet from Stardom as a star at the centre of its own sky, with related films orbiting it as satellites, gathered from TMDB recommendations, shared themes, Wikidata links (same director, writer, series, source material or subject) and closeness of feel, then chosen for the strongest evidence — the closer and brighter a star, the more strongly it is related. Fly to any satellite to make it the new centre and keep exploring.
