Dev, after spurning his childhood love Paro due to a misunderstanding, turns to drugs and alcohol for solace. Paro moves on but Dev remains in remorse. He then meets Chanda, an escort navigating her own past trauma, but Dev’s chauvinistic attitude and penchant for self-destruction stands in the way of their developing bond.
Directed by Anurag Kashyap. Starring Abhay Deol, Mahie Gill, Kalki Koechlin, Parakh Madan and Kuldeep Singh.
Lyradrift plots Dev.D as a star at the centre of its own sky, with related films orbiting it as satellites, gathered from TMDB recommendations, shared themes, Wikidata links (same director, writer, series, source material or subject) and closeness of feel, then chosen for the strongest evidence — the closer and brighter a star, the more strongly it is related. Fly to any satellite to make it the new centre and keep exploring.
