Trapped in a dangerous loop of bad luck and cheap motels, and under constant threat from her volatile pimp, prostitute Liz guides the audience through a high-stakes night on the streets. Through fourth-wall-breaking confessionals and gritty flashbacks, she reveals how she—a desperate mother—ended up selling her body to survive.
Directed by Ken Russell. Starring Theresa Russell, Benjamin Mouton, Antonio Fargas, Elizabeth Morehead and Daniel Quinn.
Lyradrift plots Whore as a star at the centre of its own sky, with related films orbiting it as satellites, gathered from TMDB recommendations, shared themes, Wikidata links (same director, writer, series, source material or subject) and closeness of feel, then chosen for the strongest evidence — the closer and brighter a star, the more strongly it is related. Fly to any satellite to make it the new centre and keep exploring.
