The film consists of three independent parts: "Workmate", "Déjà vu" and "Operation Y". The plot follows the adventures of Shurik, the naive and nerdy Soviet student who often gets into ludicrous situations but always finds a way out very neatly.
Directed by Leonid Gaidai. Starring Aleksandr Demyanenko, Aleksei Smirnov, Mikhail Pugovkin, Vladimir Basov and Natalya Seleznyova.
Lyradrift plots Operation Y and Other Shurik's Adventures as a star at the centre of its own sky, with related films orbiting it as satellites, gathered from TMDB recommendations, shared themes, Wikidata links (same director, writer, series, source material or subject) and closeness of feel, then chosen for the strongest evidence — the closer and brighter a star, the more strongly it is related. Fly to any satellite to make it the new centre and keep exploring.
