After their mother's death, three brothers return to their family home in southern Italy: Raffaele, a judge in Rome facing the threat of political violence; Rocco, a counselor for troubled youths in Naples; and Nicola, a factory worker in Turin struggling with labor disputes and a troubled marriage. As the family reunites in mourning, each brother reflects on his past and contemplates an uncertain future.
Directed by Francesco Rosi. Starring Philippe Noiret, Michele Placido, Vittorio Mezzogiorno, Andréa Ferréol and Maddalena Crippa.
Lyradrift plots Three Brothers as a star at the centre of its own sky, with related films orbiting it as satellites, gathered from TMDB recommendations, shared themes, Wikidata links (same director, writer, series, source material or subject) and closeness of feel, then chosen for the strongest evidence — the closer and brighter a star, the more strongly it is related. Fly to any satellite to make it the new centre and keep exploring.
