Beautiful housekeeper Babette travels to England after the Nazis invade France. There, British intelligence devise a plan for Babette to sneak back home, where she could use her feminine charm on key Nazi officer Schulz, gleaning valuable information for England. However, Babette, although willing and spirited, is naïve and untrained, making her less than ideal for matters of national security.
Directed by Christian-Jaque. Starring Brigitte Bardot, Jacques Charrier, Ronald Howard, Michael Cramer and Hannes Messemer.
Lyradrift plots Babette Goes to War as a star at the centre of its own sky, with related films orbiting it as satellites, gathered from TMDB recommendations, shared themes, Wikidata links (same director, writer, series, source material or subject) and closeness of feel, then chosen for the strongest evidence — the closer and brighter a star, the more strongly it is related. Fly to any satellite to make it the new centre and keep exploring.
