Along with her husband and three children, Marthe lives in an eden of her own creation, nearly isolated from the rest of the world. The arrival of a construction vehicle, however, pierces their tranquil, hermetic existence—before long a disused highway has been re-opened, and the family finds their home situated in the midst of rush-hour traffic. While the privileges of clean air, quietude and privacy are thus denied them, Marthe remains determined to stay no matter the cost.
Directed by Ursula Meier. Starring Isabelle Huppert, Adélaïde Leroux, Madeleine Budd, Kacey Mottet Klein and Olivier Gourmet.
Lyradrift plots Home as a star at the centre of its own sky, with related films orbiting it as satellites, gathered from TMDB recommendations, shared themes, Wikidata links (same director, writer, series, source material or subject) and closeness of feel, then chosen for the strongest evidence — the closer and brighter a star, the more strongly it is related. Fly to any satellite to make it the new centre and keep exploring.
