A terrace in Rome is a recurrent gathering place for a group of friends from the intellectual upper-class. Their lives unfold and intertwine, as they struggle with aging, disappointment and disillusion, until they are left with the realization that their generation, and everything it stood for, is coming to an end.
Directed by Ettore Scola. Starring Vittorio Gassman, Ugo Tognazzi, Jean-Louis Trintignant, Marcello Mastroianni and Stefania Sandrelli.
Lyradrift plots The Terrace as a star at the centre of its own sky, with related films orbiting it as satellites, gathered from TMDB recommendations, shared themes, Wikidata links (same director, writer, series, source material or subject) and closeness of feel, then chosen for the strongest evidence — the closer and brighter a star, the more strongly it is related. Fly to any satellite to make it the new centre and keep exploring.
